I wonder who came up with the statement that "ignorance is bliss"? As far as I am concerned it's certainly not bliss, especially when it comes to health conditions like prostate cancer. If you are ignorant about such health conditions and you don't do the things necessary to ensure you survive, then you will surely die. This article throws more light on why ignorance is not bliss and how learning about this type of cancer can help you survive.
You see, it's no longer news that one of the major reasons why most people didn't survive prostate cancer was because they didn't have it discovered in good time. If prostate cancer is discovered in good time, your chances of surviving it are very high. By being ignorant about it and not going for the yearly tests that are needed to detect the presense of cancer in your prostate or not, you are endangering your health and your life.
To survive this condition you should make it a habit of not just going for the yearly or twice yearly tests but also learning as much as you can about the condition. I know you are busy with other aspects of life but isn't your "health" and "life" much more important? If you agree that it is, then you should make it a habit to learn about this condition and how you can survive it, especially if you are above 40 years old.
Just be learning enough about this condition you can survive it because not only will you be vigilant in going for the tests on a regular basis, you will know the things to do to keep the condition at bay. And remember - ignorance is certainly not bliss. If you are ignorant and you don't care about knowing what needs to be done, this cancer will surely "take you out"! Lastly, don't believe anyone who tells you that you must die because you have prostate cancer. That's not true as you have seen from this article. You should be committed to surviving and you will survive. Many others have also survived it, so why shouldn't you. I know I have repeated this several times, but it's worth saying because many people still don't get this simple fact. Stay open and believe that you will survive this and you eventually will. It's that simple!
